AREIAC

AREIAC is the professional association for RE inspectors, advisers and consultants. It provides support for its members through an annual conference, regular newsletters and regional group meetings. It regularly liaises with, and is consulted by, governmental and other policy organisations.

To join AREIAC you need to submit your details to the membership secretary.

Officers

AREIAC has a central executive 

committee who lead and manage the organisation. This consists of a chair (elected for two years), a vice-chair (who succeeds the chair) and other elected officers.

Membership

Membership includes the benefits of termly mailing and attendance to regional meetings and the AGM, as well as attendance to the annual conference at a discount rate. You also receive full access to the AREIAC website to obtain members' only resources – newsletters, webinars and documentation, and invitations to join national discussions, research projects and reading groups - for more details see this leaflet

Full membership paying the full annual subscription rate of £70 is open to all those who subscribe to the Statement of Principles of AREIAC, who work to the Standards for CPD providers in RE and whose professional duties include:

  • inspecting religious education and collective worship

  • and/or advising SACREs, LAs, schools, colleges and/or individual teachers in matters relating to religious education and collective worship

Associate membership is for those who have part-time responsibilities for leading RE beyond their own school/organisation, paying 50% of the annual subscription rate (£35)

Retired membership is available for members of AREIAC who have reached their statutory retirement age. They will be entitled to maintain their membership by paying either a £15 annual subscription via direct debit, or a one off payment of £140
